The Torch Theatre is a modern and vibrant
repertory theatre and centre for the arts. Open
seven days a week it also has a busy Cinema
programme. Established over 30 years ago, the
Torch Theatre Company have gained a first class
reputation, the winner of four Theatre in Wales
Awards and an impressive repertoire of some 170
productions, including a highly
acclaimed version of the award-winning musical
The Hired Man which re-launched the
striking new theatre after its £5.5 million
refurbishment nearly three years ago. Its
Christmas show is always a firm family
favourite. More recently the Theatre’s Artistic
Director, Peter Doran, directed She Stoops to
Conquer, a highly acclaimed co-production
between the Torch Theatre Company, Mappa Mundi
and Theatr Mwldan which toured Wales in the
spring of 2009 and was seen at the Torch in the
autumn following a tour of England and they
recently co-produced a high profile show with
the internationally acclaimed Nofit State Circus
and The National Theatre of Wales – placing
Milford Haven firmly on the cultural map of
Wales. From direction to design, casting to
creation, you can always expect superb quality
in every respect from the Torch Theatre Company.
